Not sure what to say?

My memory of Father Ed goes back almost 80 years. I had just awakened in a hospital room after having my tonsils removed, and there was Father Ed in a bed across from mine. He also had his removed, and we were both Polish kids from St.A's. He was two classes ahead of me. Even at this young age, I was impressed by his calm demeanor and intelligence. I followed his career as he continued his studies and advancements in the church. You have earned eternal life with our Lord God.

I met Fr. Ed at his first parish St. Ann's in Jersey City. I was in 7th grade. We remained friends and he officiated at my wedding to my husband. He also baptized all 3 of my children. We remained friends and spoke occasionally by phone. He will be missed terribly. I hope he is with my husband in heaven and I hope he will be there for me when my time comes as he always was.

Msgr Ciuba was an exceptional priest in many respects including his wonderful homilies .

Dearest Ed....you will be missed. Thank you for coming into my life and restoring my faith in God. Plain and simple - I love you and will cherish the laughs we had every year at Super Bowl parties at Mustafa´s´ house. Pray for me and watch over me please. Rest in Peace, dear Ed

I got to know Fr Ed through my good friend Fr Anthony Randazzo. Ed had a vision for the Church and the world, a vision centred on Jesus of Nazareth. I will be ever grateful for having known him. May Christ the Good Shepherd lead him safely home. Fr Brian Nichols Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

Ed Ciuba was a humble yet elegant man. A priest whose spirit shone in every aspect of his life. Loved listening to his homilies. A gift to the Church. A man of vision, hope, and peace. We will miss him. And pray that his witness on earth encourages people of faith to be open to new possibilities. Thank you Fr. Ed!

I was a high school kid working at Darlington Seminary when Fr Ciuba replaced Msgr Darcy as Rector, and I watched him lead that wonderful faculty as a kind, charismatic & encouraging man of God. Sometimes, years would pass between seeing him, but he was always a friend. Fr Ed was someone who was sincerely blessed to bring people to their relationship with God -- a gifted teacher, author, and leader, but his reason to be here, his "purpose" was to bring people to God
