COHEE, EDWARD A. "ALLEN"

Of Flint, age 61, died Monday, July 2, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. A Memorial Service will be held 11am, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Jason Kotarski officiating. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the American Red Cross. Allen was born in Detroit, MI on September 23, 1950. On June 21, 1986, he married Deborah Defoe in Flint. Allen served in the United States Air Force. He was employed with Federal Express and was a longtime former Moose member in Fenton. Allen loved competitive dog sports and spending time on his computer. Surviving are wife Deborah; children, Christopher Cohee of Kentwood, Joseph and wife, Jill Cohee of Sault Ste. Marie, Robert McCuaig of Flint, Stephanie and husband Clarence Gooding of Ontario and Sean and wife Kristina McCuaig of Walled Lake; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Thomas Bakken and Patti Swemke of TN, Shari and husband Jim Dauwe of Kincheloe, Teri and husband Tim Galu of TN, Kari and husband Dave O'Gorman of Sault Ste. Marie, Timothy and wife Tamara Cohee of St. Helen, David and wife Sherry Cohee of FL and Paula and husband Bobby Gream of Oscoda; special aunt, Nancy Yipe of Highland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley (Squires) and Jack Cohee and Edward Yipe. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

Wow...how do you sum up all the memories & emotions into a fitting remark? We will never forget walking into the Fenton Lanes & there sat Deb & Allen...our new bowling partners...& our lives changed forever! Oh..the laughs, the warm friendship, the endless memories of traveling, Safety Meetings, deck building & Bacardi! Mostly, he was the BEST example of how a man shold love a woman & how to be loyal to friends. Cheers, Allen! You left a remarkable legacy....& a hole as big as your beloved...
