Not sure what to say?

I hadn't seen Ed since high school, but I always admired him for his drive, humor, and athleticism. Over the years, I've learned that life is made up of short coming and goings and that for everything you take with you in life, there is something you leave behind, and I have no doubt that what Ed left behind will be cherished by those who knew him best for the rest of their lives.
