I just received the news of the Coaches passing today. He was a major influence in my life, being a football player at Eastside Catholic. He was fire, emotion, a great mentor and a second father to us kids. He turned a rag tag bunch of clueless kids and made us into winners. I cannot believe that he is gone, and I will always remember him. My condolences to his family, especially his kids, who were there almost every day for practices and games. We will miss you very much, Coach Crafton.

My heart goes out to the Crafton family. Like so many others, I was lucky enough to experience Ed's mentorship. He was kind enough to teach a fellow Bulldog about the coaching profession. Ed was a great presence for us at Ballard when we needed it most. Rest in Peace, Coach.
