Edward B. Crain

Edward B. Crain, of Hoover, AL passed away at home on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the age of 85.  He was retired from U.S. Steel.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel J. Crain and Mattie E. Crain, brother, Marcel S. Crain and his son, Jon Alan Crain.

Mr. Crain is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doris F. Crain, daughter Sandy Captain (Joe) and son, Terry Crain (Judy); 4 grandchildren, Natasha Captain Holt (Richard), Nicole Captain (Justin), Joseph Captain (Cassie); and Kelsie Rose Crain; 6 great grandchildren, Allia and Natalie Garrett, Colton Captain-Atkins, Jordan Lawley, Ashlyn and Aiden Captain.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 1:00 PM, inside the Abbey Mausoleum at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. on Hwy 150 in Hoover, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 100 Chase Park South, Suite 220, Birmingham, AL 35244 or a charity of your choice.  We selected LLS as our charity because Mr. Crain’s sister-in-law had Lymphoma and his daughter’s father-in-law had Leukemia.
