Not sure what to say?

This guy pushed me to be the best Soldier I could be.

I miss this guy all the time. He pushed me to be a better me. I miss our times at Ft. Hood. My friend and brother, love you always, Mike

I worked with 1LT Iwan the majority of 2004 in Muqdadiyah, Iraq. I was the Civil Affairs Officer attached to 2/2 IN. Ed was a significant member of a great group of guys that I worked with daily both on and off the FOB at Normandy. I've had the chance to speak with Doc DeWitt and CPT Cobb after the events in Nov '04. It pains me to this day that I was not in Fallujah with the Ramrods. I miss Ed and the guys and think about him daily. My thoughts are forever with the Iwan family. God...

Forever grateful for his service and willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice, when I was not brave enough to do so.

I went on many missions with LT Iwan in Iraq in 2004. I was a combat photographer and he took me out in his Bradley many times. He always treated me with respect and was a great man. I spent two years in Iraq and I saw many men die. There are only three that I remember by name and LT Edward Iwan is one of them. I remember his name every Memorial Day and every Veterans day. I know he had a young wife and a child and to this day it pains me to think that he is gone. I saw him a week or so...
