Ed D'Alessandro was a feisty trial attorney who despite being a thorn in my side for over a decade in the Kirkman case I came to admire as a professional simply representing his client to the fullest. I believe that our friendship was sealed when it turned out that we shared the same Accutron watch with the inside turning wheel mechanisms visible to all ("works in the drawer" I called it) as our favored timepiece. My salute to his memory.
