DAVIS, Edward Junius Sr., 71, of Richmond, departed this life June 7, 2008. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joyce B. Davis; son, Edward Davis Jr.; daughter, Deborah Benniefield (Edward Cousin); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters; six brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, among them, Carolyn Davis. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where the family will receive friends Thursday (tonight), 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and where the Going Home Celebration will be held Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m., Rev. Barbara Marques officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
