Not sure what to say?

"Chief" was a good and kind man who loved people, loved his friends and family and loved life. His infectious laugh, mischievous smile and unique sense of humor will stay with everyone who knew him. Rest well, friend.

Dennis was most definitely one of the good guys. Rest in peace ol' friend, job well done!

I had the privilege of being on a jury with Chief Doocy in February -March 1992. I had just moved into a condo before the trial started. He provided many useful suggestions on several projects and lent me a 4-foot level to install drape rods. I was impressed his kindness and helpfulness.

Dear Gina and family. I am so sorry to hear about Ed. He was indeed beloved by so many. He was a
great warm person who adored his family and was always so generous to all. I will miss our Christmas eve
tradition of a visit and a wee nip. Please stay in touch and down the road we shall toast him together in person. Thinking of you and your family. Shirley Campbell

Ed was a kind-hearted & fun-loving man with a great personality and sense of humor. The world is a better place for having people like Ed in it. He contributed greatly as a veteran, fire chief, father, grandfather & husband. I can’t remember him without a smile. My thoughts and condolences go out to Ed’s family and friends.

Gina,
Pat and I were very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Ed was a great guy to work with when we were at Engine 19's quarters. That continued over many years after at our various assignments. I have fond memories. To you and your family, our deepest sympathy and please know that you are in our prayers during this trying time.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To Mrs. Chief & family: It's hard to believe that the Chief 'finished' his last assignment and "returned" to his eternal "quarters. I am sure some of the Heavenly Fire Dept. responded to his entrance to that big firehouse. I can just imagine some of the war stories being swapped back & forth!
Rest in peace, Chief, we'll carry on from there! God keep you in the hollow of His Hand. Love n' prayers, DenMom55
