Edward Dowd

Ed commissioned a bunch of artwork for his Los Altos place from me. I had a painting studio out in the Bayview area in SF and I enjoyed his visits and talks about life and what to create next. I made some really fun works for Ed. I can't remember how we originally connected but was maybe from a showcase home in Los Altos that i work in. . . . Was sorry to read of Ed's passing today as I accidentally came upon his obit online today . . . . Cheers to Ed's spirit! . . . Rick

One of Ed's proudest moments that he shared as a cover photo. The ribbon cutting of the Edward M. Dowd Art and Art History building. Although I worked for Ed, I knew him also as a friend. He will be missed beyond expression.

Never a day went by that we didn't ask how Ed Dowd would like it done. As we took care of his property he gave us back great leadership and was a mentor to us. Ed never rejected a call, a question or suggestion. He was always there when you needed him.
