Edward "Ed" Drabik

Nobody in the world had a bigger heart than Ed. You could not go to his home without him sending something along with you, be it a home baked item, vegetables from his garden or one of his wood shop masterpieces. Ed and Eleanor were a real pair in every sense of the word. Both will be greatly missed by all who knew them.

I have happy memories of being at Ed and Eleanor's home several times, enjoying Ed's homemade pie and getting a tour of his incredible workshop. He sent us home with beautiful pens and I will treasure those forever as cherished reminders of Ed and Eleanor.

We knew Ed for many years and marveled at his energy. The day we made 75 gallons of apple cider together from both our orchards gave me a new perpective on his ability to work hard and then share the fruits of his labor. We delivered lots of juice to happy customers that week. Ed also gave generously from his wonderful prune trees each year. He never let anything go to waste. I can't think of Ed without thinking of Eleanor. I was one of many stranger who meet Ed and Eleanor and who benefitted from their loving family expression to the community. Ed helped me when I needed it most. Having been down and out and trying desperately recover my true self, Ed extended a hand and included me into his family. Without this kind, loving expression, I could not have gained the life that I have today. Bless you Ed and Eleanor. You are in my heart and family of love. And to you...

Ed and I used to go to Tektronics, estate and garage sales. Ed would always buy some kind of tools. He was very skilled in working both wood and metal. Whenever I needed to make something he would show me or do it for me. He always wanted to help others. I liked to help him by clearing blackberry bushes and picking fruit with him. The last time we visited Ed in his new home at Kamlu, he was determined to pursue his plan to have a pool table brought there for the enjoyment of his neighbors, as well as his own. It was obvious that his health improved a lot in the past months, and he looked for every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO ED'S FAMILY, AND FRIENDS. MY FRIEND, AND I USE TO HAVE COFFEE AT MC DONALDS EVERY THURSDAY MORNING. WE MET ED, AND HIS MANY FRIENDS THAT HE SAT WITH.
