Dad was a great example of fatherhood. I remember how we would have "family meetings" and Pam, David and I would ask for a raise in our allowance. He would say "No" next subject". Of course there was no other subject for us. Then he'd say, "meeting is adjourned". Not only was he strict and a great provider, but he was a loving father. We were his life and he and mom were our lives. They took us all over Indiana to entertain groups such as LaRue Carter Hospital, nursing homes,...

I will certainly miss his smile that gleamed in his eyes each time he spoke of his family members. I will also miss the many serenades he gave at the end of his dental appointments. A fine example of a gentleman that will be surely missed.
