Beloved husband of Betty, nee Hearne; devoted father of Debbie (Bernhard) Schwan, Diane Robbins, Donna (Greg) Markevicus, Darlene (Anthony) Schweitzer, Edward J. Jr. (Lainey), David (Lori) and Dan (Sharon) Duggan; proud grandfather of John and Justin Henry (Schwan), Michelle, Kelly and Michael Robbins, Erin and Andy Markevicus, Melissa, Elizabeth, Meaghan and Katelyn Schweitzer, Riley, Emma, Ella and Conor Duggan; dear brother-in-law of Laurette (Jim) Burke, Dave (Jean), Jim (Ruth), Bob (Betty), Bill (late Dona) and Dennis (Evie) Hearne; kind uncle and great-uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Past Grand Knight of Genoa Council #1659 K of C and 4th Degree Member Silver Swords Club. Member of Local 21 Brick Layer Union with 38 years of dedicated service. Recently retired from Secretary of State with 10 years of service. Visitation Monday 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 9 a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6), Dolton/South Holland, to St. Kieran Church, mass 10 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
