Not sure what to say?

Jim and I were undergraduates at St. Benedict´s college in Atchison, KS and leadership was written all over him even then. It was impossible to miss his natural leadership skills and what would later become his command presence as a warrior. Jim was unpretentiously kind, compassionate and responsible - qualities that (as noted in his obituary and written tributes) served him well as a U S Navy and Marine combat officer - and later as a businessman, law maker and public servant in Colorado....

I got to know Jim when I worked at the City. He was always looking out for us and I considered him a friend. The world will be a little sadder without him. Mary (Weiler) Crotty

Jim was a great guy who always took time to talk to the DHS seniors in my government classes or lead us around the capitol in Denver, even entertaining the student leader group at his "Tuba City" apartment. He always had us stop and pray at the military memorial as we walked to the Capitol Building. He was the ultimate "Poet/Warrior"

Jim was one of the nicest, most sincere people I've ever known. If all people in politics were like Jim, the world would be a whole lot better. It was such a pleasure to know Jim and what an honor.

Jim was a genuinely nice person. He was not like your typical politician at all. He remembered your name and was sincere when he liked you - he was very, very nice. What a huge loss.

Jim Dyer truly was one of my favorite people in Durango. I met him when I first moved to Durango at First National Bank of Durango 20 years ago

Shari, Wishing you comfort from your large village of support! Jim's life was well lived. May that bring you comfort.
