Mr. Edward Elkins was the nicest man. I truly enjoyed seeing him once in awhile when I worked downtown at Ambassador Travel in the '90s. My condolences to the family. I'd like to say a hearftfelt, "Thank you, Mr. Elkins. I'm am very honored to have known you."

The Miller Family is truly saddened by the passing of a Great Man. We have fond memories of the Elkins family from our childhood and as adults. A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast...

To the Elkins Family,
I remember Mr. Elkins well. My Mother Miriam Blanks was his associate when he began the Hanna-Creighton Relocation Project. She passed away in 2003.
Let God be your comfort. Let His peaceful, gentle presence embrace and reassure you.
"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." Isaiah 66:13

God has called, he answered the call, and left you too remember the good he did, both great and small.

"What traits do you remember, "What made him great?
What shall you emulate and share today?

As you bid farewell, this is what you would say.

He loved and to all he gave love. He was creative, he was cheerful, dependable and thoughful too.

"May God in all his goodness, bless and strengthen this family. May you find his love is ever near...

I too remember Mr. Elkins in my childhood years. He had a great impact on my family's life. My mother, the nurse, is the one spoke of in the obituary and if it wasn't for Mr. E, who knows where my family would have ended up or the hardships we would have experienced. He was like a grandpa to me and my siblings. I too am grateful to Mr. Elkins and all of his accomplishments. He will be forever missed, but NEVER FORGOTTEN.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
