Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies goes out to “Easy Ed’s” family. Our college years together were very special and a lot of FUN. I’m blessed to have known him and lucky to have spent wonderful and memorable times with him. He had a heart of gold and he will be dearly missed.

My deepest sympathy to all who worked with the 'big' contracts team leader on the corporate side of DoD. Patty left us last year and that was a shock. Together they leave a big void and both will be remembered with pride. I'm proud to have known them for such a long time. Jan Blom [email protected]

I have such fond memories of Ed when I was in track in 8th grade. He was a senior but he always found time to give me encouragement. It is like his obituary said, he was a born mentor. My heart goes out to his friends and family. I know it must be very hard to lose such a giving and caring person as Ed. He could always make everyone around him laugh. God bless you and your family Ed.

It's with heartfelt sorrow to learn of the passing of "Easy Ed". We shared many a good times in college and your friendship was special. You had a unique sense of humor that made for interesting, enjoyable and memorable moments. It is nice to hear how you touched the lives of so many through your coaching and mentoring. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm very sorry for Ed's passing. I didn't know him well in high school, but got to know him at our last two reunions. He was interesting, kind and possessed a wicked sense of humor. Our world was a better place for his presence. May your memories of Ed comfort you during this difficult time.

I was very saddened to learn of Ed's passing. He coached my son in basketball at St. Michael's in Union, NJ, and was a mentor to him as well. Ed was a great person and although his life was short, he touched many and he will continue to live on through them. With sincere sympathy.

I am so very sorry to hear of Ed's (Coach Engleman to me) passing. I can still fondly remember seeing him sitting on the bench with my Father throughout the most successful basketball tenure Union HS has ever seen. He offered constant support and enthusiasm to the program. He played a major role in the team's success..his passion, loyalty and endless dedication will always be remembered. By so so many. Please know your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed has left this life, but he will always stay alive in the memories that can be cherished and shared. Although words somehow seem inadequate, please accept our sincerest sympathy at this sad time.

We are so sorry to hear about Eddie's passing. My mother always said how cute and nice he was and called him her "boyfriend" when he was little. We remember fondly our North Greenbush days and our special friendship with the Engleman family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time
