Not sure what to say?

I have known Ed since we first moved to Kazoo and we were in the 7th grade together.ed was My best man in my 1st wedding in 1962. My wife and I had him over one particular time and he was really concerned as he was thinking of marrying a gal from Holly, Mi and wondered if he could afford to get married. I told him that if you Love someone and they love you that you don't count the cost you just do it and it seems to work out. I don't think that helped him any because he did not marry that...

As I read the messages from classmates Bill & Bob and the family, it was apparent to me that I didn't know Ed very well. It is a shame that our class has become increasingly spread out during the past 56 years. I recall talking briefly with Ed at one of our reunions--as I did with several others. It is too bad that those of us who have moved away from Kalamazoo have such limited contacts with our classmates. Ed was an important element of our class, and we lost...

I remember the good times with the State High Band and the joint concert trips we had. Ed played trombone as I recall, and held up the brass section during those concerts. His humor helped get us through the many practices. Bill Patmos

I am sort of speechless. I have so many memories. He took me under his wing over 25 years ago and taught me MANY things. Carpentry, gardening, and planting trees were the main things we liked. As I got older I was able to purchase power tools to make our projects easier. He still wanted to do it "old school" but he liked the efficiency. Those were very fun arguments on which way was better that I will never forget. I will carry the skills and the knowledge that he taught me forever. I was...

Ed was the best father in law anybody could ask for. From the first day I met him I knew he was an incredible man. For 16 years we spent most of summer weekends out at his house. Whether we were there just for a visit or helping around the house and yard. I remember in the winter taking him to the grocery store every week and spending hours there so he could read every label. Moving away a few months ago was the hardest thing our family has had to face. Knowing we wouldn't be able to...

Such fond memories of an old WMU State High School classmate and friend whose home was also a gathering place for HS friends. Ed's mom was always happy to have the small group of guys there, shooting pool, trading stories and just hanging out.Time has stolen most of the specifics of those days and the conversations and we all went our separate ways with families and careers and new friends. But those days were special and not to be forgotten. We will miss you dear friend.
