Not sure what to say?

Ed was my hero while working at Stoel Rives as a paralegal. He stood by me at a very difficult time. I will never forget his kindness. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a beautiful and compassionate man.

Ed was a valuable mentor and an invaluable human being. Individuals of his quality are rare. He will be missed.

I worked at an associate attorney in the corporate department of Stoel Rives under the supervision of Ed from 1980 through 1984. In addition to being my supervisor, he was a great teacher, mentor, and colleague in the practice of business law. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to train under him.

Ed was just the best example of what a lawyer should be, in every single way. What I remember most is his absolute integrity, his ability to find a solution in every instance, and the fact that I never ever heard him raise his voice. And I remember all that he and Marilyn did to welcome so many young Stoel lawyers, of which I was one.

Sending love and condolences to you and your family. May his memory be for a blessing

As a "Radio Free Epstein" listener in my early career, I am grateful for his kindness, patience, mentorship and wisdom. He always led by example, exemplifying what an outstanding lawyer, community member and human should be. He will be truly missed and always remembered.

Marilyn, I just heard of Ed's passing and with a heavy heart am sending my condolences. His obituary was not surprising - he was remarkable! I (and Tarn) was honored to know him. I particularly liked the "Radio Free Epstein" reference and only missed a comment re his love of chocolate. Sincere regards, Carole

Your wisdom is missed.

We knew him since high school. He was not only smart, but a very caring and gentle person.
