Not sure what to say?

Remembering you fondly, my "little brother." We teased each other unmercifully when we were very young, however, that all changed when, at 15, I discovered the hard way that you could run faster than me! You were a kind, gentle and sweet brother; I miss you all the time. B-Barb

we served with Ed in Schwaebish Gmuend, Germay from '75 to '78. We took our first trip to Garmish together. Also took a ski week in Austria together. He was my best friend during those years; we arrived together, and worked together....down the hall from each other. He was such a good, good man....always the smile that you see. What a shock to see his name in an Army magazine...couldn't believe it. We had several Thanksgiving meals together.

We know he is in Heaven now;...

My family started praying for Eddie every night after Ed Sr. told me of his condition last year. I am honored that Our Blessed Mother allowed our families to cross paths and we will continue to pray for his soul and for the entire Ettner family. Tim & Annette Flagg & Family

Dear Ettner Family, I was in Eddie's class from Norfolk Catholic. Eddie never changed, and he was a very kind soul. I know he will be missed. It was good to see him at the 40th reunion. God bless your family.
Sincerely, Claire Geiger Ackiss '65

Dear Ettners, especially Eddie's children,
I remember Eddie as a kind, quiet, and helpful fellow student at NCHS. I am so sorry for your loss. Pat Morris

I remember him exactly the way he looks in the photo provided in his obit. He hasn't changed one iota. You and his mother taught him the values of life and he practiced them everyday. My thoughts & prayers go out to you and the family. I, too, know what it's like to lose loved ones. It gets better, but the...

Very sorry to hear about Ed.He was a great classmate and teammate.I am sure he will be missed, but he will always be with you in spirit and love.

CDR Ettner, I'm so sorry to hear about Eddie's passing. He came to our 40th class reunion back in 2005. Before the reunion, I called him several times begging him to come because he had never made it to one of our reunions. He still looked like the same guy I rode to school with for a couple of years. One time, I was driving home from school, and Eddie's younger sister was in the back seat. We were riding down Granby Street and 3 guys from our class were in a car in front of us. 2 were in the...
