Still Missing those phone calls!!

Dr. Henry (and Mildred) Schackne are my parents. They passed away in 2001 and 2002. My parents were very close friends with Ed and Joan. I remember many great times visiting the Falkners' home. I have many memories of growing up with the Falkners. I remember making a nickel for picking weeds in the back yard. I remember the (what I thought was long) to see the progress of the new house on Shake r. I enjoyed the boys trip to the Canadian mountains in a Winnebago. Though I think Dr. Edward was a bit nervous when my father would drive. We had cookouts at our house on Timberlane. Our houses were very close. Sadly both houses are gone now. I miss you, Dad

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Eddie. All of my memories center around the beautiful account of his loves and interests which your article covered. He was also a very kind man and a truly caring practitioner as well as father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He would take the time every evening to check on the progress and condition of all of the patients he treated that day and was genuinely concerned for their comfort and safety. I will miss our catching-up phone calls.

Cousins, I am so sorry to have learned of you loss. I know Eddie's love for you all and his memory will be cherished in your hearts forever.
