Edward Earl Fenimore

Edward E. Fenimore, Leawood, Kansas passed away Monday August 29, 2011. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 15 at Cure of Ars Church 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood at 10:00 AM. Visitation 9-10 AM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO. Edward was born May 3, 1927 in Appleton City ,Mo. to Edward W. and Stella L. Fenimore. He moved to Kansas City in 1941, graduated from Central High School, KC Junior College and from UMKC School of Law in 1953 with an LLB, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. He served in the Army from 1944 to 1951. Edward\'s business was the casualty insurance industry and he retired from a senior Claim position at Transamerica Insurance Group in Los Angeles, CA in 1991. Edward and his wife Frances returned to the KC area after retirement and spent post retirement years in world wide travel. He and Frances especially loved London and made many return visits to that wonderful city. Survivors include Frances, his wife of 58 years and daughter Julie (Tom), sons John, Paul (Elizabeth), Vincent (Paula), Jason and three grandchildren, Sophie, Bryn and Aidan. It was said at his retirement party "He was a gentleman, scholar and respected officer of the Company". Edward was that and much more. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
