It is with immense sadness that I read this notice today. I only know of Father Ed, because I attended a couple of confirmations that he presided over. From his homilies I have never forgotten him and have measured his skill against many other speakers, most of whom paled in comparison. This because Father Ed was so insightful. aware and heartfelt in his talks, that he was like a magnet for Christian values.
