Edward Forbes Obituary
AUGUSTA -- Edward 'Peter' Forbes, 73, of Gorham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Togus Veterans Hospital.
He was born in Portland on June 22, 1939, the son of David and Dorothy Burns Forbes. Peter grew up in Portland. He worked the majority of his life on the waterfront in Portland.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Gorham; two sons, David and Peter; one sister, Joan Forbes, six step children; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There are no services scheduled at Peter's request. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. On-line condolences can be given to the family at www.jonesrichandhutchins.com.

To Peter's entire family ~ was so shocked to read that Peter passed away, we have been friends our entire lives, but have lost contact the last few years~~ have many great memories of him! "RIP" my dear friend, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
