We are cousins of Father Ed who as children attended his Ordination and First Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, MA. At that time, it was very unusual to have a single Ordination, and Father Ed´s Ordination was a celebration full of Grace and Hope which we have never forgotten. I had the privilege of working in Tchien in Liberia when Ed Galvin was stationed in Cape Palmas. He brightened up many days for us, sisters and priests when he would fly over our mission for a visit and bring a treat. I will never forget his kindness in flying to our mission to tell me my father had died. He waited for me to put a few things together and flew me to Monrovia.
