Edward J. Getz

Edward J. Getz, 52, of Stevensville, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his home. Eddie was born March 18, 1957 in Wurzburg, Germany to Edward & Jeanne (Moroz) Getz. Eddie graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1975. Eddie worked for Midwest Die Corporation in Baroda. In his spare time Eddie was an avid outdoorsmen and especially enjoyed fishing. Eddie is survived by his loving family; parents Edward and Jeanne Getz of Stevensville, sister Linda Rieman of Grand Blanc, MI, brother Jerry (Nancy) Getz of Culpeper, VA and sister Mary (Steve) Huizinga of Freesoil, MI and nieces and nephews. Edward is preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Sophia Getz and Anthony and Stella Moroz. A private service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William J. Jacobs officiating. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.
