Dear Aunt Ro, Mike and Tim - Words cannot express how much Uncle Ed and all of you mean to me. I have so many memories of us growing up on Claremont. (Tim - I still want my bike back). I am grateful to Uncle Ed for always making sure Grandma was taken care of and for always being there for my dad. He was a great man and our lives are better for knowing him. Aunt Ro, you are Angel for all you have done for Unlce Ed. I cannot wait to see all of you. Love - Kathy

Mr. Gilmartin provided many young men with leadership while coaching. Unselfish devotion to the game he loved and making a difference in the lives of many, many young men is a lasting memorial. When I reflect on the three seasons I spent with the Chargers and several more as their opponent, Mr. Gilmartin stood out as a great guy.

Now that I am coaching youth football, memories of people like Coach Ed are even more appreciated.

May he rest in peace.

I knew Coach Gilmartin for a number of years while attending sports med at St. Patrick HS. He was one of those people who could light up a room with his laughter. He helped me become who i am today, which is something i will never forget. My sympathy goes out to all of his family members. You will be truly be missed Coach.
