Not sure what to say?

Hi,

To Ed's family, I began golfing in 1952 at the age of ten. Ed was one of my heroes and mentors. He was the epitome of what amateur golf should be, a talented -player who was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone who asked. The highlight of my amateur career came in 1965 when my partner, Mike Devan and I had an epic battle with Ed and his partner, Stan Starkey for the Elmhurst better ball championship. To the Gonsky Family,
The world just lost a perfect gentleman. I knew Mr. Gonsky via golf and as a young girl entering the golf world 35 years ago. He was so exceptionally kind to me, supportive of my efforts and he was always there with a motivating comment and a pointer or two for my game. Although I haven't seen him in years I would light up when I was given the gift of bumping into him. Thank you for sharing him with me.

God bless you all.

I knew Mr. Gonsky while working with his son, Dr. Mark Gonsky. Mr Gonsky was truly one of the kindest and caring people I have ever known. He was always kind to me, to my husband, and when he had the chance to meet some of our children. There was not a time that he was not proud of his children and his family meant everything to him. He and Mrs. Gonsky have a love not many people will ever experience. Mr. Gonsky will be missed by many people and will forever be remembered with his gentle...

Sorry for you're loss. Just thinking of him a few days ago. Ed was an inspiration to me growing up & a hero in golf. I admired him for his poise, dignity, & gentlemanly deamenor. He was always nice to me & I appreciated that very much.
A great guy.

Deepest sympathy to the whole Gonsky family. Ed was a wonderful friend and neighbor. Through your 64 years of marriage you have raised a wonderful family of whom you should be very proud.
