I'm a retired water company/RWA employee. I knew Ed and in conversations with him over the years began to gain an appreciation for what he did to ensure that our public drinking water would be safe to drink. With the exception of Lake Whitney, all water drawn from reservoirs owned and operated by NHWCo was unfiltered. The only barrier against contamination of public drinking water was the land surrounding the reservoir and the addition of clorine gas to the water as it entered the pipes...
