Edward E. Ham Jr.

Ed was the master of teenagers, and oh yes, math! He had an ever present, dedicated, kind demeanor who we all wished for and admired greatly. He helped me so much as a new teacher, especially we I had to vent about my day. He seemed to always be there, especially on our 2nd floor at OHS in the hallway where science and math teachers became good friends, sharing our day. What a respected educator, colleague, and friend. Ed truly will be missed by so many.

I taught with Ed for many years at Osceola High School and gave his retirement speech at our last faculty meeting. I retired the next year. In my 40 plus years as an educator, without a doubt, I´d rate Ed in the top 1/2 dozen teachers I respected most. I once had a student tell me that Mr. Ham could teach math to a rock. I believed him!
