A few years back I called Eddie and said, "It's the anniversary of D Day do you want to go to lunch?" Eddie said "D Day D Day D Day that's all I hear. I was Island hopping in the Pacific for two full years before that and nobody ever talks about that. Earlier I was supposed to be on an train carrying amunition, but since it was leaving in a few hours a fellow and I headed to the local watering hole. Client of mine for over 40 years. Stock clubs etc. Spent many an hour talking about WWII and South Pacific. What a great man and friend. He will be missed. One of the great generation that made peace for the world.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad, grandpa and great grandpa's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It was my pleasure to me able to share some time at family functions with him.

I will always remember Eddie's bright smile and warm welcome each time I visited him, and I will miss his stories and laughter. I'm sure that Mama Vi, Grandpa, my dad, Eileen, Amy, and Bobby are all happy to have the family together again. May God bless him. My prayers go out for all of the family.
