Not sure what to say?

Skip and I go back over 50 years. I always have enjoyed talking with him at matches and tournaments we were both at. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and the wrestling community.

Skip was a stand up or take down guy.
I worked w/ him and went hunting my first prarie chicken with him. One of the best sheetrockers ever to live in my eyes. His love for the sport of wrestling was contagious. Thank you for the memories ol,boy. Knowing you enriched my life. May your family find comfort and peace at your passing.

I will miss Skip at the wrestling meets. He always came up to me with a smile and something positive to say.
God. Bless
Coach Roy Oeser

Sorry to here of your father passing. He help teach a lot of kids in his day to wrestle. He will be missed.

My son Dylan, had a great respect for Skip as a person and wrestling coach. He will be missed.

My son, Brendan Van Winkle, wrestled. He, as the rest of his family, gave so much to Derby youth. The values he taught, are still with Brendan today going through college and law school. Kath Van Winkle Platzer family

I enjoyed hunting and spending time with Skip. His passing saddens me and I will always remember him kindly.
