Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary and the entire Hartnett family, I JUST found about about the loss of Ed. My/our heartfelt sympathies to you all. I have such wonderful and fond memories of us living across the street from each other year ago in Bridgewater. I know my mom would be crying now if/when I tell her of his passing....I will look through her address book and hope to find a current number for you Mary, but if not, wanted to at least let you know that I heard, and that I am sending so much love and sorrow...

What a great leader! He never let us forget that business was a human endeavor and meaningless if it did not better the human condition.

I always looked forward to the days when Ed would arrive for a Committee or Board meeting here at Parker. He always had a big smile with which to greet you and often wore his Boston Red Sox baseball cap down the hallway upon arriving. He had a terrific sense of humor and I will miss the occasional calls he made to me to RSVP to the Board's Holiday Dinner events. He always made me laugh. God rest his soul.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Hartnett family and our prayers are with you as you navigate Ed's passing. He will long be remembered as colleague, mentor, boss and more importantly, a generous, caring person. Oliver and Brenda Anderson

A great man who embodied kindness, intelligence, integrity and faith. Ever-grateful for his advice, influence and example. Condolences and a hug to Mary and the entire Hartnett family.

An inspiration to those of us who looked up to him at Ethicon. I have a cherished possession from Ed when he sent me a letters of congratulations after I hosted the National AORN meetings starting in 1982. I still have them framed in my office. RIP Ed and congratulations on a life WELL LIVED. Bill Cerullo

Single Memorial Tree

To our beloved friends Ed and Mary, we are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Ed was a very special person who always made us feel special. We will never forget the introduction Ed made for us with the Director of Oncology at Robert Wood Johnson when Regina was diagnosed with cancer. That introduction meant the world to us. May he rest in the loving arms of Our Blessed Mother. Mary, please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss him dearly, Deacon Pete...
