Not sure what to say?

My sinere sympathy to the family of ED Hawks. My late husband, Kenneth L. Beckman had deep admiration and affection for Ed.

Ed Hawks is the 4th member of old VA-35 Korean War days to pass on to the church triumphant this year. He was a member of the Greatest Generation, who served his country in two wars & is an example of what being an officer & a gentleman in the Navy really meant. Mary & I send our deepest sympathy to all his family in this sad hour, with the fervent prayer that the Lord will give you his peace as he surely will welcome your father with the words, "Well Done, thou good & faithful servant"....

To Ed Hawks' family,
My wife, Joyce, and I are saddened to hear of Ed's passing. I've known Ed since our squadron days in VA-35, back in 1950.
We have been fortunate to continue that friendship through the years, including our last rendezvous in Jacksonville in October. Ed never changed in all those years - always the dry wit, always the gentleman.
I'm sure he'll put the tailhook down for that final landing on the great carrier in the sky!

I am so sorry to learn of your father's death. He was a good friend. We served together in Korea in 1950 and 1951 in Attack Squadron 35 aboard USS LEYTE.

Ed and I were naval aviators together in Korea in 1950-51. He was my section leader and I was his wing man.

I will miss him.

May God bless his family, and may he rest in the peace of God.

Cyndi, Darbie, Nina & Chip,

I worked with your dad for many years at MassMutual. He was a very kind and thoughtful man, and he was always so good to me.

I have spoken on the phone or personally met each of you, and your dad and mom did a wonderful job rearing you. All of you are so kind as well.

I will always remember your dad and send my heartfelt sympathy to each of you.

Love and sympathy,

Carmen
