Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary and Family,
I'm so sorry to read the news today. My son Cameron really enjoyed meeting Ed last year. Ed shared so many past stories with Cameron. We were thankful to have spent a few hours with him on many occasions, while visiting my Stepfather George in the same nursing home. It was so unusual and special that we'd meet again in that nursing home, after being neighbors on Ash Road in the 1990's. I still miss those long conversations Ed and I would have during gardening...

Dear Mrs. Hennessy and Family, My Mom, Janet Gibbons, was unable to attend the service for Mr. Hennessy. She sends her sincere condolences for the loss of your Beloved Husband and Father. He was a great man and a Pillar of the community of Hoffman Estates and St. Hubert's. My Dad surely had a welcome hug for his friend Ed when he got to Heaven. We are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

To Mary, Mark, Mike, Debbie and Kevin: I treasure many memories of growing up alongside your family. I remember Ed as somewhat larger-than-life but friendly and smiling. May God be with you in your grief and loss.

It's only been within the last year that I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hennessy. I've been a friend of his son Mike for many years. Found Mr. Hennessy to be a very warm, bright, articulate person with a great sense of humor. Also the last two years our Cub Scout Pack 100 has been honored to hold its annual Blue & Gold banquet in the Ed & Mary Hennessy conference rooms at the Hoffman Estates Village Hall building. Our family is keeping the Hennessy family in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this most difficult time. Great memories of our families sharing fun times together. I know Mom & Dad greeted your Dad in heaven with open arms. Love and hugs to all of you!

Dear Mary & Family, our thoughts & prayers are with you all at this time. Our Deepest Sympathy to the family. Remember our first Cruise was with you & Ed.

Debby,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family today and always. Love to you all

My memories of Ed and Mary, side by side, smiling, warm and wonderful.

Ed is my dad's cousin. A gathering of the "Hennessy's" always meant laughs, hugs, sincerity, love, a "small town - esq" patience and compassion. Time with Ed almost always started with a smile and a joke and continued with a connection, interest and caring.

I'm certain the recently dwindling monthly Hennessy gatherings are reforming in heaven.

Dear Mary and Family,
My prayers are with you all. I am thankful for the years of dedication to public service Ed gave! His humor was always good to experience. Love and Peace, Ginger Hayter
