Ed and I were in the police academy together and and were sworn in on 10-17-69. We were friends both off and on the job. He never changed from the day we met. Always the level head in situations and his sense of humor was infectious. We talked about the old days just a month ago and how our lives were enriched by our families, friends, & our Police family. His memory will live on and I'm going to miss him.

Capt. Herman, you were so right this isn't a rehearsal. Thank you for being the supervisor you were. An example to all and most of all always a gentleman. Learned a lot as a rookie from you that served me well. Thank you. Rest in Peace.

i was lucky to work for you and really get to know you. lot of great times in the 4th district ed. always remember "40/30" lol.

So very sorry to learn of the passing of Ed. I always knew him to be a very good police officer, good supervisor and an all around very decent human being. Rest In Peace Ed.

Eddie was the sweetest 'boy' in our grade school class at St. Stephen's. I will remember him fondly. So sorry for your loss.
