Not sure what to say?

Judy and family, So sorry I was out of town this past week and just learned of Ed's passing. He will be missed, no doubt, and my heart aches for you during this time of sorrow. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you the peace you so desparately desire. God Bless You and Your Family.

Dear Judy and Family,
Deepest sorrow in the loss of the love of your life. Ed was a special person and much loved by all who knew him. I can tell you that his uncle "toot" thought the world of him as we all did! When Oliver died, our Emmie wrote " his suffering ends while ours begins" We grieve now but our grief will turn to joy when we are united once again with our loved ones in God's Heavenly home.
Deepest sympathy and much love,
Lorraine and family

Dear Judy and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm thankful my Dad was able to spend some time with Ed and some of his family at the Barefoot a couple of years ago. That trip meant the world to him. As a little girl I remember coming to the Barefoot and seeing Ed behind the bar with a huge smile on his face. I remember when he took up flying and really loved being up high where the cares of the world seemed to disappear.
I know he will be greatly missed. I pray you feel God's...

Judy, I am so sorry I will not be able to come for the services. I will be thinking of you and your family. I will have a Mass read for Eddie here.

Our sincere sympathy to the entire Herter family

My husband and I first ate at the Barefoot when It was on the river and people really did leave their boats and go bare foot to the restaurant. We went on Mondays when we received free fish with the beer. I still enjoy going there for lunch several times a year.

Judy and Family. May you only have wonderful memories of an exceptional man and know you will be in my thoughts.

Judy and family.. Although we have lived in Texas for 35 years, we still come to the barefoot every time we get close to Hardin. It was always a treat to talk to Ed about his old high school days and playing baseball in the 50's. We have missed Ed this past year or so and know he is in a better place.
