We at the American Diabetes Association just discovered, as the service is in progress, that Ed passed on Saturday, the opening day of 2013 Camp EDI. We offer our sincerest condolences to his family. Ed was a dear friend of the American Diabetes Association and will be missed.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of this good man Ed , I only met him a few times , but from what I have heard and seen he was and has a beautiful family . My aunt dolly and Ed found each other after the loss of their beloved life partners passed away. I'm so glad they both had each other. My aunt dolly is a sweet lovely lady who I'm sure took very good care of her Ed. When I met Ed he was healthy and vibrant and I'm sure took great care and respect for her as well. God bless the Hirsch family. May your Edward be in your heart and souls forever. With love, Joni Goldstein
