Not sure what to say?

I was at HBU from 1991-1996, and I wish I had been able to get to know Dr. Hodo during that time better than I was able. From everything I saw of him and from the brief interactions I had with him, I found the HBU President to be a great man.

Prayers for Sadie, the family, and the HBU family... May he rest in peace.

Dear Sadie and Family,

Dale and I wish to express our sympathy to you at this sad time. Our hearts and prayers are with all of you.

We appreciate the opportunity to have worked with Dr. Hodo when he was Dean of the College of Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio. He worked tirelessly for the College, bringing it from infancy to its first AACSB accreditation. Doug was a special person, and we know he will be missed by all who shared his life. His contributions...

My condolences to the family of Dr. Edward Hodo. He was a fine man and will be sorely missed. I was a part of his HBU family a few years ago. Be blessed and may God comfort you in your time of bereavement. Ms. Joyce Asberry former employee in the Humanities department.

Every once in awhile in life you meet someone who is so radiant one cannot help but be drawn to them. Doug was one of those amazing men for me. I wish I had the decades to know him better, but I know he effected me greatly in just a few years. He will always be remembered and live on in my heart. He exhibited Gal 2:20 in such beautiful and amazing way. God is good. Doug is good. He is resting with Him now.

Truly enjoyed getting to know Doug and serve alongside him over the last year...an inspiring patriarch and man of God!

It was a blessing to know Dr. Hodo and to witness first hand his stellar leadership at my alma matar, Houston Baptist University. Cheers, Dr. Hodo! Well see you again soon.

Doug gave me an opportunity that changed my life. He was a leader who understood that attention to tactics at times is still a leader's responsibility. He was also a leader who, despite attention to detail, took the risks of delegation. I am the beneficiary. Thank-you, Doug

Dr. Hodo was always an admirable witness and friend. Fair, honest and steadfast, he raised his children to love the Lord and reminded me greatly of my own father. Heaven gained a man who knows the Lord as a friend and we are all better for having known him.

Doug was the definition of a Gentleman. Harvey and I are sad for Sadie and all the family as he will leave a huge void. We are honored to have know Doug and Sadie and will always have our memories. Love and prayers to Sadie and all the Hodo Family.
