Not sure what to say?

My father continued to build kites and model airplanes in America. We spent many afternoons building, crashing and repairing kites. I do remember splitting bamboo rake pieces for kite parts as my father claimed they made the best spars.

The passing of Dr Hon is a sad loss for you, his family, and for those of us who were touched by his life. I grew up hearing the name, Teddy Hon, spoken with affection and admiration. Both my parents, Albert and Marjorie Bohringer, knew him as he and they were growing up. I'll always remember listening to Uncle Ted on his visits to Australia as he told us of his latest research, findings and projects. His enthusiasm for life and for others is legend and I will miss his energy and knowledge - but he will always live in my heart.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.
We are just starting to hear from the many friends, colleagues, and students of my father.

Shirley, Robert and I ask that, if you wish, please make a donation to
the Salvation Army in Ed's memory.

Warmly,
