Not sure what to say?

Remembering you this Memorial Holiday, Ed. So many "fond" memories of us trying to keep 82nd Sig moving and supplied. Best to your family.

Major Murphy, after all this time, your sacrifice is still remembered along with all the others on this Memorial Day weekend. We will never forget, prayers to for you & your family!!

I was Ed's 1Sg AT RTB. Ed and I had a great command team We spent a lot of off duty time with each other and Family. Ed was A Great leader And friend. Last night at my civil War round table meeting our Pres. always talks about the common soldier and last night he spoke the name Maj. Ed J Murphy, He had just read something is a South Carolina paper about Ed.
So I took the floor and talked for a short time about Ed.

I think of you all a lot Keep Safe...

Murph and I trained together as brand new second lieutenants through the Armor Officer Basic Course, pre-Ranger, and then Ranger training, thus practically spending about an entire year together, 91-92, along with our fellow classmates. Murph made a lasting impression upon us all with his unfailingly optimistic and motivated disposition, despite some pretty daunting challenges and a fair bit of suffering. I dare say we all loved Murph for this. I think of him often

Served with Ed in SETAF and Bagram. I am now in South Carolina and it was an honor to see him honored in the halls of USC ROTC. We wore his name on our bibs in the last Run for the Fallen. Our best to the family.

It's been 8 years since Maj. Ed Murphy passed. We were friends briefly in 2000 and I am just now learning of this news. While I knew him, it was deeply apparent that he loved the US Army and our Country dearly. He was amazing at his job and I would like to thank him for his service to protect our freedoms for our families. Thank you Ed.

Barclay, Eddie, Elly and Luke,

I read a children's poem today called "Stars" that made me think of Ed. He will always be "Coach Ed" to me, one of the many hats he wore so well. I look at Cade (who was in Ellys class) and wonder if she's grown as tall. I'm sure she's still a beauty with an fabulous sense of style. I wonder if Luke is as into trouble as Kiernan (his stroller buddy) from Vicenza. I think about you and the kids often and I will be forever grateful for the short...

To the family and friends of Major Edward J. Murphy:
Please accept our remembrance of Edward on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.
