JACOBSEN, Edward L., passed away on July 19, 2013, after a long battle with leukemia. He survived by his wife of 41 years, Jane; and family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 7343 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23228. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside Presbyterian Church or LPC pre-school scholarship fund.

I still can't pass Ed and Jane's home on Hermitage Road without feeling a little emotional. I love them both so much. Our time in the handbell choir was so very special. I know he is up there watching. xoxo

My heart has been so heavy since learning of Ed's passing. We had a most unique relationship and I absolutely adored him, as did our granddaughter Gigi, who had her own special relationship with Ed. I am happy he is out of pain now, and I know we will all see him again, but he is someone who touched my life like no other has. I will miss him terribly. I love you Jane.
