Not sure what to say?

Rachel and I were sorry to hear of Ed's passing since another family patriarch has passed on. He and my father were cousins, born the same year, looked alike, and were often confused for one another, which both seemed to enjoy. Ed was a very kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Jarou hired me as his assistant (my first job) for the summer of 1963 when I was 16 years of age. He was Community School Director at the new Walker Elementary School, across the street from the administration building. Mr. Jarou had a calming voice and an even-handed manner in teaching me many tasks and work experiences that summer. He never talked about himself nor his many achievements. Condolences to Jamelee and his entire family.

When we were growing up, Mr. Jarou was like a second dad to me. He tirelessly shared his time with kids helping us in all sports activities, playing every single weekend in football, basketball, and baseball. I truly loved both him and Mrs. Jarou. They are the kind of people I aspire to be like in my adult life. A life to be celebrated. Mr. Jarou was a wonderful human being. And something I did not know, a true American hero in WW2, something he never even talked about. As those heroes never...

Jim and John, I’m so sorry for your loss!! Just rely on the lifetime of wonderful memories with your Dad!!

My sixth grade teacher at Walker Elementary School. The best teacher.

Ed was such a good man. I had the pleasure of caring for him & I’m so blessed I was given the opportunity. He filled my heart with his perfect smile & laughs. He will be forever missed.
