Not sure what to say?

Ted and I were born 4 days apart and lived on Wasatch Drive in Salt Lake starting in Junior High. Later Ted was two of my kids doctor. I met Darlene before they were married and they were a great couple. I remember Ted's dad taking the two of us in his Jeep one time and going up some impossibly steep hills. I think of Ted and two or three other friends from the neighborhood often.

Ted and I were born in the same year. One other friend from our old neighborhood, Gordon Raynor Smith has also passed away. I don't know if the other member of our foursome, Merrill Richard Weech, is still with us or not. I remember when we were kids and they were doing a fundraiser for our new ward chapel. Several of us worked on the building. Teds dad, was not the most active ward member. However, he wanted to be part of the project. Secretly, he went to the bishop, and contributed the...

Dear Jenkins Family,
Like many others I was also stunned to hear of Ted's passing. He was an amazing man and extraordinary physician. Over 20 yrs ago before I had children I worked at a little bank across from St. Marks hospital. I knew I wanted Dr. Jenkins as our pediatrician because of his wonderful personality when he would come in the bank. He had such a way with his little patients and always made my kids laugh and allowed them to pretend to be the one in charge. I will never...

I was saddened and shocked to hear yesterday of the passing of “Dr. J”- We began seeing him over 30 years ago with our daughter and he continued to care for our 6 children and 2 of our grandchildren. In 1983 he saved our 29 week premature baby working on him until the Newborn Transport team could arrive. When he got the page to the delivery room he was at St. Marks and he raced upstairs. He touched my shoulder when he walked in and announced he was there-his humor helped with the difficult...

I just received a letter today saying that Dr. J had passed away. I was so sad to hear the news. Dr. J has been apart of my life for over 30 years. From being a paitent to having my own children paitents of Dr. J. He will be sorely missed. I was just two years old when I was brought in to his office with some type of skin disease. My mom says Dr. J was just starting his pratice. He took one look at me, went to his office and came back with a book open and said this is what she has take her...

I just received a letter today telling us of the passing of Ted. I am so saddened by this news. Ted was our doctor and friend for 24 + years. When we were in the process of adopting our daughter Lily I went to see Ted and he told me if he were adopting a child with special needs he would adopt a child with Down syndrome. He said he had no problem being her doctor. They formed a fun bond and on one occasion she would not leave his office until he had spelled her name correctly - one "L" not...

Dr. Jenkins was the best and most wonderful doctor one could ever ask for. He was all 3 of my childrens pediatrician. My kids and I all loved him very much. We all loved having him in our lives for over 16 years. My second child was 6 weeks pre-mature and he took care of him from the moment he was born, he is now almost 12 and just heard of your loss, it has hit him very hard as well. To all of your family from all of ours we send our thoughts and prayers with you.

Jenkins Family,
your dad was our family pediatrician for the past 33 years. he was outstanding! my children and grandchildren have had the privilege of being his patients. even now my kids say mom if only we could go see Dr. Jenkins and they are over 30 years old. I'm so sorry for your loss and for the medical professions loss. he was a wonderful Dr. and I'm sure he will be missed terribly by all who knew him. Gloria Childs and Family

My children and I are heart broken to hear of Dr. Jenkins passing. He made going to the doctor fun for my children. We won't be able to find another doctor like him. He was one of a kind, so caring and funny. I always left his office with a smile.
