Not sure what to say?

Edward Kane was a friend and mentor. I was not just a person who banked at Lincoln bank, I was part of a family. ed always made me feel part of the bank family. the Kane family was Lincoln park savings. he is missed. to the family I'm sorry for your loss. Ray Ahmed.

Ed was instrumental in my move from Durban to Chicago in 1985 and set me up with a job, place-to-stay etc. My time with Chicago Lions will be a memory I treasure for time immemorial and Ed was a huge contributor to those memories - Thank you Ed... you were the proverbial "Officer-and-a-Gentleman" - You will be missed by more than your immediate circle.

Please accept my deep sympathy to the entire Kane family as you celebrate the life of Ed. We were neighbors for many years in Sauganash, and then I was fortunate to reconnect with Ed in later years through our mutual friendship with Brian McCaskey. It was wonderful to share old childhood memories. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Kane and the family during this difficult time. Warm regards, Sue Green Gost

Dear Sue and family,

We are so very sorry to hear about Ed's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God continue to Bless you during this difficult time.

Ed was a man of principle, courage, loyalty and kindness. I will never forget his support of his community in Lake View and Edgebrook. He helped so many people on their journey, from high school children in need of work to those just beginning their adult life. He embraced life and gave it his all; he shared his faith and we are all better for it. My deepest sympathy to Sue and his family.

Sue, my prayers are with you and your family. Ed was such an inspiration with his positive attitude. His love of God was apparent in the way he lived his life. He was the best coach my boys ever had and instilled so much confidence in them. I will always remember him.

To Sue and your beautiful family,
The gorgeous love story of Ed and Sue will never end. You were the perfect models of what is best in a loving marriage.
May a band of angels lead Ed into Paradise. May the martyrs come to greet him.
Until we all meet again, may God hold Ed in the palm of His hands.
Ed has left this life, but his life has not left you.
Love, The Vena Family

Many very fond memories of Eddie at Queen of all Saints school. May God bless him and comfort your family.
