KELLY, age 89, retired Detective, City of Cleveland, Division of Police, beloved husband of 63 years to Mary Elizabeth "Bita" (nee Neeson); loving father of John Kelly and Suzy Connerly (Adam); son of the late Susan (nee Ruddy) and Michael Kelly; brother of Rita Graven (Tom, deceased), Mary Keller (Don) (both deceased) and Roseanne Venca (deceased); dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, friend and "Uncle Ed" of many and long-time friend and partner-in-crime of Bill Reiber. U.S. Army veteran. Passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 11, 2023. Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 19, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10 A.M. Interment private. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, TUESDAY 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Patrick Church (West Park), 4427 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44135.

Kelly Family, I have known Ed for most of the 31 plus years I was with the CPD plus his time in our Street Crimes Unit. During this years I always knew Ed to be a very good man and a fine police officer. My sincere sympathy to the family on his passing. Rest in peace Ed.
