Edward McMonies Kemble

I came to love Ed and today, with you, I deeply morn his passing. When I first encountered Ed at Brookestone he was unapologetically playing classical music-a wonderful cello concerto. I would often bring my cello to his apartment for a private rendition of Bach and Civil War tunes. We talked about art, history, and the meaning of life. He loved and missed Lois so very much. He had a great sense of humor and his Halloween costumes were always the best! I will miss him deeply. May his memory...

He was one of my favorite teachers at East and later a mentor to me when he was a colleague of mine teaching at East. Both Rob and I loved seeing Lois and Ed after he retired. Thank you for sharing your dad with all of us East high "kids"!
