1930 ~ 2016Edward L. Kimball is gone. He was born 23 Sept. 1930 and died Nov. 21, 2016 leaving behind a family of which he and his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Bee Madsen (who predeceased him Sept. 27, 2012) were rightly proud. Their seven children: Christian & Linda Kimball, Paula & Teryl...

Not sure what to say?

Aunt Camilla once told me that Edward would always have a very special place in her heart because of what he went through with the polio. He certainly did not let that stop him! Thank you Edward for writing and publishing, "Lengthen Your Stride, The Presidency of Spencer W. Kimball" in 2005, and the "... Working Draft" in 2009. Your insights regarding his attributes and reasoning are gold to me. May our Lord bless your family for the many contributions you too have made in so many...

I remember Bro. And Sister Kimball from their days in Wisconsin. They along with their chrilden Chris and Paula helped fellowship me into the church after I was baptized. The Kimballl Family set and example of the Gospel that kept me active in church for this past 45 years. All though I have not seen them in many years. Their friendships will always be chaished.
My condolences to all of you at this time.

A lonely young, newly converted girl in Missoula admired her Bishop Kimball. He offered her good advice at a disturbing time. How many times I have thought about him and his kindness, offering me his suit jacket on a chilly Easter sunrise service on a hilltop in Missoula. How often I have wanted him to know that he was a tower of strength to a girl who was alone in her conversion, that she is a strong member of the Church, sealed to her spouse and nine children. I wanted to thank him so...

Mary & David, we add our condolences and deep sorrow at your father's passing. He sounds like a great soul who will add generously to the bounty of his beloved mother and father's quiver beyond the veil. This is a page we will all turn, yet a new beginning of a whole new and wonderful chapter.

Know of our love for you both, and our continued prayers...earnest prayers. We will be at your service if ever needed.

Mary and Sarah,
I am so sorry about the loss of your father. It is always hard to say goodbye to a father. My parents had such respect and affection for your dad as their bishop. I hope you have the comfort you need at this time. I enjoyed reading your memories in the Herald article. Our best to you both.

Dear Members of the Ed and Bea Kimball family,
We express our love and condolences at the departure of your beloved father to the next life and also our joy at the reunion of your parents as he stands tall beside your vibrant mother. Your parents were always very kind and loving in their attention to us from the beginning of our association with them when David joined the faculty at the law school early in 1974. Ed, as a seasoned law professor, gave David timely and...

I only met brother Kimball once at a MHA meeting in Ohio. But his work meant a lot to me.
My grandfather Martin Mortensen grew up in the Gila valley and knew President Kimball and his father Andrew quite well. He also was on the faculty of Gila Academy while Camilla Kimball was teaching there.

His biography of his father came out the year before my grandfather died. It was a real privilege to read the first few chapters of the book to him as my grandfather knew most of the people...

Sorry to hear about your loss. Ed served as a counselor to my father, Harold C. Yancey, in Missoula in the 1950's. Harold passed away on October 21, 2016. I'm sure they're enjoying being together again.
