Not sure what to say?

I only became aware of the passing of a dear friend today, 1/17/2026. I was a classmate of Ed's at the University of Tulsa, 1957-1961. Ed was a wonderful friend. Burl Lane

A good friend and a wonderful clarinetist.

Dear JoAnn, Just saw the notice of Ed´s passing in the Morningsider. I´m the former Bev Graham, and have sweet memories of times with you and Ed. May many warm memories give you comfort and peace.

I was completely unaware of this and it brings me to tears. I was just listening to Feels So Good and it reminded me of Dr Lanning. So I googled and found out today! He was absolutely my mentor in Jazz at BVU. His soul his spirit his funk and he loved my drumming it all made me a great musician. He also was a great listener we would have talks about things ranging from life to me starting playing drums with books. I will miss you sir!

Susan and I offer our sincere condolences to JoAnn and Ed's family. He was so talented and good natured. I thoroughly enjoyed our service together at BVU. We are very sorry about his passing.

JoAnn and family... our deepest sympathies to you all from Cindy and I along with the entire Eddie Skeets family. I loved it when Ed played with the band. He was always so positive and looking for ways to make everyone feel relaxed and play better together!!! Those are fond memories along with his wit, insight and humor!!! Peace and blessings to you and may your memories help put a smile on your face when thinking of Ed! Jeff Skeets Washinowski

So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Our dinners together, sharing love of art, and always great discussions on music.

Great, fun-loving man. He wish be missed!
