Miss him

Ed was a friend and colleague who was always willing to get up in the middle of the night whenever his skill was needed to render life-saving surgery . His mental acuity and his sense of humor never failed him even as his physical health declined. I will miss him and his laughter.

Ed was always a close member of my family and my was father's best friend. I shared many days with Ed in the woods and around the table and will miss is humor, wit, and contagious laugh. I have solace that Ed and my father, Robert, are together once more sharing their wonder and glory. My deepest condolences and respect to the Laughlin family. Peace and love, Ed!

I had the good fortune to meet this fine man about 15 years ago at the Huntsville Athletic Club. He provided comforting insight when my daughter was facing surgery for which I will always be grateful. Luckily, we kept in touch with occasional lunch engagements with the last being several months ago. He was the consummate Southern gentleman and will be missed.

Old and dearest friend , gone from our sight, but not from our hearts. Only some very , very good memories relieve the heaviness in our hearts. Jack & Dottye
