Not sure what to say?

One of the good guys for sure . He was a dedicated firefighter and a blessing to the town for all his efforts. I think I will always remember his laugh more than anything else. Rest easy Butch.

Our Condolences to all. I worked with Ed at Cottrells gas station and they lived next to my mother and us on Fenwood ave for years. So many memories and love. Our prayers to all.

Tom and I knew Butch from his single days. He was one of the good guys and an excellent firefighter and leader. He and Tom can finally rest easy; they did the job. RIP Butch

Ed was one of the good guys, always willing to help anyone. Thank you for your service to our community. May he rest in peace.

We fought and investigated many fires together over the years.. Rest in peace Butch................

My condolences to the entire family such a great guy. Taught me so much in the fire department. He had a heart of gold. Loved hearing his stories about his family and kids. The fire department in Hamilton would not be what it is today if it wasn´t for the Layton´s and the Lenhardt family, Butch may you rest in peace you´re not suffering anymore. God Speed

A genuine "Good Guy" from the old days. Thanks for the memories.
